Every case starts at the same point

The Advanced Lipid block opens each case in the same place: a patient on maximum tolerated statin therapy, still above target. That is deliberate. Everything before that point is covered in the prevention track, and it is the decision after it that separates competent lipid management from a repeated dose increase.

How the modules progress

First, whether the residual risk is lipid-driven at all — a question learners routinely skip. Then measurement, including when apoB is the better number and when a lipoprotein(a) result changes a plan. Then agent sequencing: ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibition, bempedoic acid, inclisiran, ordered by evidence rather than by recency.

The intolerance module

Runs differently from the rest. Learners are given a patient reporting muscle symptoms and must decide whether to stop, rechallenge or investigate — and the module then presents the nocebo data from the blinded rechallenge trials. It reliably changes how a cohort handles statin intolerance afterwards.
