The World’s Greatest Cardiology Cases — Teaching Collection

Original price was: ₹2,700.00.Current price is: ₹950.00.

The collection our tutors draw on for teaching sessions — 250 cases that established the syndromes, eponyms and procedures learners already quote.

The tutors’ collection

This is the volume our teaching staff reach for most often outside the set curriculum. Not because it drills anything — it does not — but because a cohort that has just learnt a set of diagnostic criteria absorbs them differently after seeing the patient the criteria were written from.

How it is used in sessions

Usually as a five-minute opening. A tutor presents the original case cold, without naming it, and the cohort works out what they are looking at. Recognition arrives partway through and lands harder than any definition would. The historical detail then does something a modern case cannot: it shows how the definition was arrived at, and therefore where it is tight and where it was always approximate.

Not part of any assessment

Deliberately. Nothing here appears in module quizzes, and learners are told so. Material examined immediately gets read instrumentally, and this collection works best read for interest.

Scope

250 cases across 315 pages, covering the presentations that established the coronary syndromes, valve lesions, cardiomyopathies, channelopathies and conduction disorders, the first procedures and the first failures, and cases whose meaning was recognised only decades later.

Also for self-study

It works entirely outside the courses, and a fair number of learners take it after finishing a track rather than during one.
